Painting

A soft colours of a setting sun are always welcome and remembered in the mind’s eye.

My senses are alway heightened when I am at the coast,  the salt is in the air can be detected, the water lapping at the shore can be heard and the beauty of the natural world can still be seen.

Even though there is a the quiet lapping of the water at the shore, silence and peace are felt, as light reaches across the water.

The inspiration for this painting came from the tiny cabins on Hollyburn Mountain.  They were originally built in the 1920’s and 1930’s and many still remain today.  All the cabins were built with timbers in the vicinity of the cabin site.  Today the sites are leased from the municipality and it is my understanding that … Read More

This little piece was a conceptualized vision of a rural agrarian countryside.  It was a fun stylized piece of a rural community, growing food and eating fresh off the land .

This beautiful Cedar stood in the sun with its draping branches allowing the light to catch on its foliage…a magical moment caught on canvas!!
