Along with angels, it was fun to paint up a bunch of animals on beach wood!! They were mostly used for Christmas Tree ornaments but some people hung them in their kid’s rooms.

Sold at the Anonymous Show at the North Vancouver Community Arts Council. Standing relatively high in the ocean allows for a small yet whole ecosystem to sustain the life that has settled on the islet.
A peaceful scene that was just begging to be painted. Sitting on the shore and looking out towards the tiny island that is so well established.
This fall the sunsets have been absolutely amazing!! So challenging for me to capture the beauty of the actual real view…here is my attempt. Another island in the stream!! Clearly a favourite subject of mine, so fun to paint!!
I think islands are much like artists. Just as islands exist silently in their own space, artists are often in their own space, quietly letting their creative juices flow. I painted a little sketch of the same image and it appealed to me so much that I painted a larger version.
My painting was selected this year, 2018, for one of BC Children’s Hospital Holiday Cards. I think this is the 20th year that I have submitted a painting to BC Children’s Hospital.
The resilient little islands in the Broken Group Islands are a never ending source of inspiration!!
