This is not particular place but it is painted from a series of photos I had taken in the Gulf Islands. It captures familiar elements that are so recognizable in the Gulf Island such as the sandstone rock with pockets of sand, the outlined points of land that open to narrow water passages, distant landforms on the horizon and beautiful sunsets that speak their language across the water.
