Lavender Bloom – SOLD 8 x 10, oil on birch board
In Chilliwack there is a breath taking beautiful lavender field that was speaking to me. Waves and rows of pink, purple and blue were so fun to paint. The scent of lavender is calming and lifts your spirits.
Deep Cove – SOLD 8 x 10, acrylic on canvas
As the light in Deep Cove leaves early and casts the cove into shadow, the landforms across the inlet bask in the warm light and offer a wonderful backdrop to the landforms of the Cove. Deep Cove is a wonderfully safe haven for boats.
Vancouver View – SOLD 8 x 10, oil on birch board
I painted this one plein air from Kitsilano Park looking north towards the North Shore. It is a very typical Vancouver view of the freighters set against the mountains.

From Spanish Banks – SOLD 8 x 10
This one was painted plein air on a lovely day with my feet in the sand at Spanish Banks. The sail boats in the distance were a lovely white focal point set against the dark backdrop of Bowen Island, Passage Island and the North Shore.
West Coast Sentinel – SOLD 8 x 10, oil on birch board
A sea stack located at Brady’s Beach in West Bamfield. To get the beach we took a a water taxi across Bamfield Inlet, walked along the roads across the peninsula for about 20 minutes and it was well worth the effort.
Zen Islet – SOLD 8 x 10, oil on birch board
A tiny islet sits happily at high tide in the Canadian landscape. The trees stand with a little character going on in their branches! A very fun one to paint!
Passage Island 30 x 30, acrylic on canvas
Located between Bowen Island and the West Vancouver shoreline is a 33 acre island called Passage Island. It is a very unique setting for the residents who live there as it is off grid living. With no public docks, no roads, no electricity and no shops, it is accessed only by private boat. In an … Read More

From the community Crofton on Vancouver Island a ferry will take you to Vesuvius on Salt Spring Island. The beach on Vesuvius Bay is partly made up of sculpted sandstone, so typical of the Gulf Islands. This particular view captures the ferry at the dock with its reflection in the bay.
