Chesterman Beach is home to Frank Island. It is an island located at the end of the spit that divides Chesterman Beach into north and south beaches. The island is privately owned and has two dwellings on it. And at the time I am writing this, one is available for nightly rental. Getting to Frank Island is a walk out from the shore along the spit at low tide. A unique west Coast experience for sure. The day I was here we were fortunate to be able to walk out the island. When the tide turns on this vast stretching beach, it comes in quickly. To be safe I painted this piece from the shore!
