Painted from a few forest photos I took, The light of the day filtering through the trees contrast against the dense darkness of the forest background caught my eye. The light highlighting the greens of the foliage made for a fun one to paint.
I sat on the beach at painted this piece plein air. Although I was in a residential setting, this view looks like it is miles out of town and far from the madding crowd!!
This piece was painted plein on a wonderfully warm day on the beach at Cates Park, near Deep Cove. In fact the day was to warm that another artist and I went for a swim to cool off, it felt great!!
