The morning light on Whyte Island at Whytecliff Park was a real attraction for me and a delight to paint. The water was a very light celadon green and captured a faint reflection of the island. As the sun gained height in the sky, the foreground beach picked up the warmth of the day. Passage Island sits in the background where a number of residents live in self sufficient homes.
