This piece was painted at Van Dusen botanical Gardens on a pleasantly warm day. The white trunks and the fresh new spring foliage of cool yellow and green on the Birch trees along with the purple hues of the rhododendrons was a lovely display.

Sailing in the Gulf Islands of BC is an sailer’s paradise because the winds are pleasant, the scenery beautiful and the safe anchorages are plentiful. This piece was painted from a photo I took when we were at anchor and settled for the evening. Sold at the North Vancouver Arts Council Anonymous Show.

I saw this painting hanging on the wall at a friends house; I painted it about 12 years ago. Not the best photo of it, but I was pleased to see it on the wall and I think it is still a viable piece!
