The Rowing Club is a Vancouver landmark. It sits majestically in Coal Harbour in Stanley Park. It was the reflections in the water that drew me to put paint on canvas for this one.

24 x 48 acrylic on canvas – sold This is my favourite summer swimming spot!! It does my soul good to warm up on the rocks and it is so refreshing to slip into the ocean! Looking out across the water to Lighthouse Park on the right and straight ahead to Point Grey.

This is painted from the point looking back towards Caulfeild Cove. The rocks gracefully stretch out into the water and the sandy beach is at the head of the cove on the far shore in the painting.

12 x 24 acrylic on canvas Horseshoe Bay is a protective cove, where the ferries from Vancouver Island, Gibsons and Bowen Island dock. This little ferry travels the Bowen Island route. This view is looking north to Howe Sound where the mountains reach steeply toward the sky.

This panting began in the Capilano River Canyon when I was following the trails near Cleveland Dam. The dark cliffs with the trees towering above set the stage for the sunlight the hit the other side of the river!!
