There are literally a hundred or more islands in the Broken Group of Islands. In this painting the setting sun fills the sky with light and reflects in the sea while almost silhouetting the little island. The clouds were so fun to paint!! Big strokes sweep across the sky!!

Morning Light, Whyte Islet. 16 x 20, acrylic on canvas - sold
A favourite subject of mine is Whyte Islet in Whytecliff Park. It is of particular interest in the morning when the eastern side of the island is bathed in morning light. The clouds captured a thread of this light on their lower edges and their shapes add movement to the painting.

Animal Series – SOLD
Along with angels, it was fun to paint up a bunch of animals on beach wood!! They were mostly used for Christmas Tree ornaments but some people hung them in their kid’s rooms.
