This is an unexpected and delightful vineyard and tasting house in Lillooet BC. Set against the mountains, the colours in this vineyard made a wonderful scene. I had a lovely lunch with a glass of Fort Berens wine, delicious!!
With this piece I was almost standing in the creek at the Lynn Canyon Headwaters Park. It was a beautiful day, the landscape was full of greens and the sound of the creek is a meditation in itself!
With a hydrangea from the garden and a small mason jar I set up a small still life set up in my shadow box, adjusted the light and set to colour to canvas. This is the result!!

A land mass that is naturally isolated by water due to the surrounding topography is an island. To a certain extent it becomes a unique ecological micro habitat that exists within a larger ecosystem. The small islets on the West Coast continue to intrigue me!!
