My senses are alway heightened when I am at the coast, the salt is in the air can be detected, the water lapping at the shore can be heard and the beauty of the natural world can still be seen.
Even though there is a the quiet lapping of the water at the shore, silence and peace are felt, as light reaches across the water.
The inspiration for this painting came from the tiny cabins on Hollyburn Mountain. They were originally built in the 1920’s and 1930’s and many still remain today.
