This piece was painted at Van Dusen botanical Gardens on a pleasantly warm day. The white trunks and the fresh new spring foliage of cool yellow and green on the Birch trees along with the purple hues of the rhododendrons was a lovely display.

Sailing in the Gulf Islands of BC is an sailer’s paradise because the winds are pleasant, the scenery beautiful and the safe anchorages are plentiful.
