This is a sketch of the historic fishing village, Quidi Vidi, in Newfoundland situated just outside of St. John’s. This little protected harbour is quaint, whimsical and beautiful all at the same time!! It is also home to the Quidi Vidi Brewing Company.

This piece was painted some time ago after a sailing trip to the British Virgin Islands. The winds were terrific for sailing and the sound of the winds blowing the palms was simply lovely and quietly impressive. Uninhabited amazingly pristine tiny islands exist on the landscape in the British Virgin Islands.
