Okay not entirely woodwork!! The little bird is made from hand painted light weight unbleached cotton, a wire frame that holds the shape of the body and makes the legs and feet. The feet are then screwed onto an appropriate piece of drift wood.
The train bridge crosses the Capilano River at it mouth. Framed by the dark trees and the soft evening sky the river sparkles with light.

The original painting of Storybook Elephant is a gift for a brand new baby. I have done a series of Storybook animals and characters. I have written a story about some of the characters I have created and others are on the sidelines of a story waiting to happen!!
The West Coast is always an attraction for me!! The sea stack rock formations always hold an interest for me as they hold strong to their place on the beach through all seasons of weather!!

A member of a series of beach boats called the “Drifters”. Pirate is a party boat sporting its party flags. The cabin is pegged and glued to the hull. Wooden pegs painted black hold the boat to its base.
