On a beautiful day the little islet nestles on a west coast beach. The clouds catch the light and the little islet captures the focal point.
The mists that move across the Pacific Ocean offer consistent moisture to the west coast landforms. There are a million shades of green on the west coast!
First opened January 1927, the old classic West Vancouver Hollyburn Lodge is a lovely subject to paint. Located on the edge of First Lake and nestled in the tall trees the red lodge is a lovely contrast to the colours of the landscape!
The Pacific Coast of British Columbia is dotted with sea stacks that have stood majestically for thousands of years and watched over our coast.
I photographed this islet in Barkley Sound and I have painted it before. It is just such a perfectly beautiful little islet that it calls to be painted again and again.
Eagle Harbour is home to the Eagle Harbour Yacht Club and is also a great little sandy beach for summer swimming!
