Marigolds are one of my favourite flowers! They bloom all summer long and are dense with shades of orange, so bright and cheery! I placed them in a small mason jar on my table and painted them on a large scale.

Forest Reflections 1 – Sold 16 x 20, acrylic on canvas
This piece was painted from a photo I took on a hike up to Whyte Lake in West Vancouver. While the background trees remained in deep shade, the foreground trees turned golden as they basked in the late afternoon sun light. The little Whyte Lake was completely calm and the forest reflections were beautiful!

A new painting for a new baby. The snow drops and crocuses are in bloom and with spring on its way, the little rabbit takes delight in putting flowers on top her hat.
