I was on a boat when I took the photo as the sun was heading towards the horizon. The pink colours of the beautiful sky reflecting in the water made for a inspiration starting point for a painting!

As the sun is headed towards the western horizon, the colours in the sky and in the purple clouds are absolutely amazing! This was painted from a photo I took at Pettinger Point in Tofino BC.

Within Botany Bay there lives a wonderful little sea stack that is such a beautiful example of the west coast scenery. It is a fun one to paint! Botany Bay is in Botanical Beach Provincial Park.

Many of the streets in Vancouver are lined with Cherry Blossom trees and in the spring a vision of pink is a beautiful sight.

The little islet off Whytecliff Park is accessible at low tide as an arc of rocks are exposed leading right to the islet. At high tide the little islet is again surrounded by the sea.
