This was fun one to paint and it was inspired by Bamfield and the rugged West Coast. I love the colours of the rock sea stacks and the trees that make their home on the sea stacks always fascinate me!

Painted from a few forest photos I took, The light of the day filtering through the trees contrast against the dense darkness of the forest background caught my eye. The light highlighting the greens of the foliage made for a fun one to paint.
